More finds on Ebay. Although as you've probably already suspected (I didn't, I'm gullible), I've noticed a similarity in style between some of them and suspect there's a market there for merchandise mass made for suckers just like me.
But I'll post them anyways.
Translated: "My husband brought a mermaid to our home and I was very jealous because he no longer paid me attention . One day that my husband went to work and the mermaid was slept in her pond, I grabbed her with a fishing net and I took her to throw to the sea. I thank to the Virgin de San Juan because now my husband already pays me more attention."
It could have used some editing...

... but as a second draft it's fair. The ad for the Oil Lamp I mean. There were, of course, countless details that were left out and various spelling errors, some unfinished thoughts, but all in all it's OK and will have to do. I'm just trying to sell a lamp after all. And almost 3500 words, which makes it virtually one tenth of a Hemingway novel, or one hundredth of War and Peace, and I've only had the time that slips between cracks to work on it.
Now to redirect and refocus my attention to other things less base and commercial...Like getting a job, the end of August draws near and I don't want to be landing anywhere near the restaurant...

A ridiculous amount of copy for such a cheap item, yet once I began telling my story I couldn't stop until I had told it all.
"He stoppeth 1 of three...."

Now to get it onto Craigslist and Kijiji....

Or, what I should have written is: "Working on selling a Genii Infested Oil Lamp"; 2500 words already, which is nothing but it's actually about 7500 words with 5000 words scratched out and 2500 words kept. The 7500 words written only took a couple of hours, but the 5000 words scratched out have taken the rest of the day.
Still, it's almost done and with luck I'll be rid of the cursed lamp by the weekend and my mind will be free to roam on to other things.
Look forward to it appearing here - soon.
