I had no desire to see this when it first came out, but having seen a few clips of it on my Facebook Feed I thought I'd give it a try.
Surprisingly it was pretty good. Christian Bale does a bang-up job, wearing his little plastic raincoat, doing his little dance, monologue on “Huey Lewis and the News”, (He can't be serious?..I think he was...), the conflicts with other brokers, the ending - wherein he melts down, attempts a confession, only to get a cold rebuttal from his lawyer - the message - that we, of the "brokerage class", can do what we like...

Somehow a pretty prescient movie, and - if we were there in 2000 just look how far we've come since...
