...I'm in a large room, high ceiling, pale blue roof, only it's beginning to collapse, small cracks in the plaster and chunks begin to fall down, I can see through it, the wooden timbers, the room and sky above ...

I'm in a posh bar serving Sam Elliot. He's at the bar, holding up his pint glass, tapping it meaningfully, he wants another half pint, there's a white line marking where it should be filled to...
It's a beautiful bar, hundreds of beer taps hang from the ceiling, I haven't a clue as to what he was drinking, I'm new here, don't know if I'm allowed to pour for the customers, don't know if I'm to ring it in, I'm off to look for the bartender...
It's a gala of sorts, everyone is fashionably dressed, the servers as well, socializing with the customers, I'm the only one dressed as a bartender or waiter, I can't find the bartender, I don't seem to know the rules, find my way past the throngs of socializing servers and customers back to the bar with the hundreds of beer taps, the bartender has returned, he's annoyed with me, I was supposed to give him his drink, supposed to ring it in, I don't know what I'm doing here, it's a nice place but I'm pretty sure I won't last...

2 shorts, more images than dreams, 1 - that I'm driving around a corner and hit a wall of forest fire smoke, there's a jeep parked on the right, it's taking my spot, in front, marble statuary emerging from the forest fire smoke, a war monument, it's a great photo, I want to stop and take a picture...

I'm at the hospital, picking up my Mother. They've a yellow ticket they're showing me, long, filled in with check-boxes, a 28 day stay until she died, the check-boxes are illustrating the services she used while she was alive, a bill of sorts...
...And upon my agreement to the charges the nurses pull out another check-box ticket, this one is for me, I've some 20-odd days left, and would I mind paying for the services I've used so far...

I'm at some sort of Grade School Reunion back in Moose Jaw, or Edmonton, but not Moose Jaw or Edmonton, they never are...in a mall, 2 stories, everyone is older, there's Chris S****, Michael I**** and his brother, it's a good party but I shouldn't be here, everyone is worried that someone (N***) is out to get me, I'm not worried but it's time to go, Chris S**** offers to give us a ride home, some old beater of a car, and he crashes and the car flips and everything is wrecked...
We get out, get back to a place I can stay, there's a girl there, tall, lean, freckled, long hair, large eyes, she's concerned about me, about (N***), she's beautiful and familiar looking, "I forget your name..." I explain, the I**** brothers berate me, "Don't you know her? That's Louis Riel...You dated her for YEARS!", and I don't remember any of it, is that her name or where she went to school? But I look at her and I'm in love and curious...
