In a Stadium, or perhaps on the edges of a walled city, there's an older guy, late 20's, maybe early thirties, a skateboarder and magician, he's running around all charming, we're in a stairwell, it turn's out he's the boys brother...
...I look at K****, the boy's mother, she doesn't want to discuss it, then relents and explains to me that a few years before we met, in Montreal,...anyways, she doesn't like this child, though he seems well adjusted enough...
We're in the wall, around the city or the stadium, and the newfound brother takes off, he's got to do a show or something, and the boy and I are both perplexed, there are a lot of questions to be sure...
(remembered this a few hours after I woke, details are missing, peculiar dream...)

(never in my life have I had so many unsettling restaurant dreams. Probably time it was over...)
I'm in the restaurant not the restaurant, more of a church, up the entry stairs and in the back of the church sitting in a booth there is the Royal Family. Young, pretty, I can't quite see them all, not the Royal Family I was imagining, no Queen Elizabeth, ... some of the regular customers, they've doffed their clothes - donned our outfits - construction jumpsuits, blue with hardhats, for a look, the visitors in the pew, they've all left, they'll be back in the afternoon for tea with the Royals...around me, everyone is making a big deal of grovelling on the floor, rolling around, I merely genuflect and turn to leave, they can barely see us anyways and what's the big deal? I gotta get out of this construction jumpsuit and into my work clothes...

(Strange dreams as of late....put it down to the stress of moving)
#1 - I'm in an apartment or office building off of Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, maybe 10 stories, I'm taking the elevator but it disconnects from the building, falls over like a spring, and when it's swinging near to the ground I get out, decide to walk back to the building, take the stairs...
#2 - I've been working in an Alpine resort, high altitude, high in the mountains, lots of exposed timber and logs, leaving now and taking the long, winding road home...fall colors, leaves, the road is winding downhill about 30 miles ... I come to an icy slick in the middle of the road, embedded within it, some twigs, leaves, a rack of antlers from a moose and the associated skeleton...I get out to take some photos...
...against the escarpment, the road-cut, a mattress leaning, a blue tarp, I'm noticing something with the tarp, something is moving behind it, something...well, evil, and the tone of the dream changes, from behind the mattress appears D**, the daughter's mother, thin, face pinched, maybe dead, I'm not sticking around to find out and I'm searching for a way to get outa there...

It begins with me moving to Nelson-not Nelson, I'm with a friend I vaguely recognize, going up the main street (not a mountain in sight, it's a prairie town on the high plains, flat, not Nelson but in the dream it's Nelson), there's some bands playing, they're giving away merchandise, hats, tee shirts, and I don't want to start here on this foot, freeloading, first impressions are important...
...now, in a tired, decrepit old mansion, somewhere around Milk River, tired in the sense of a mansion you might see in an old 70's VHS movie, structurally beautiful, but faded velour and dark and run down, it's for sale, surrounded by a ramshackle farm yard, and I'm here to look at it and buy it...pretending to be someone else, in the basement there's a small room, tiled, and in the center a hole goes deep beneath the floor, it's lined with gold and somewhere below there's a fire...
...the owner, a fat, gruff old farmer, he's telling me that it's up for auction, imagines that I've come down from Red Deer to bid on it, and I take some keys-not-keys, like antique letter openers with different figures attached to the ends, I'll need these, and pretending to have come down from Red Deer I play along, the auction will be on Wednesday, I'll be there to bid, cost will be 3 or 4 million dollars, I haven't the money, have to find a way to get it, there's treasure here I know...

I'm in the restaurant not the restaurant, too brightly lit, North Dining Room, small windows, white/blue walls, dark wood furniture, pulling out the tables from the wall. All the other employees are here, that's how I know I'm in the restaurant, not talking to anyone, J** appears, holding my cheque up above the other's head, but it's not payday, and she tells me they're letting me go, firing me, my attitude, and I'm soo relieved and I'm thinking they are as well...
