And so finally I get my fishing license and head off after work with another waiter to show him how it's done.
Only, as luck would have it, I'm no authority, and this fly-fishing reel and rod that I bought, they're not working so well.
Which is probably not so much the Rod as it is the other Rod. Fouling the line a dozen times and unable to to get a cast even a dozen feet into the lake I resolve to go home and watch some youtube videos on the topic (which inform me better, but both Rods are still fucked, trying again I got the line out further, but nothing like advertised. Time for a new Rod.).
But there was a gorgeous double rainbow (dude in front is the other waiter...)

Spring and Summer

Now, finally, Spring and Summer are here, and that means that time will largely be spent outside. Camping, fishing, prospecting, you have it, life is too short to be paying rent. My address is the world.
That said, the world doesn't all have free internet, and with the assassination of my old computer by Microsoft I probably won't regularly be blogging. Maybe, if we're lucky, once or twice a week.
If we're lucky. I wouldn't count on it and I'm not making any promises. Maybe I'll start blogging with pen and paper and just posting my blog posts as photos or scans of my notes...although that would depend a lot on me improving my handwriting. Yeah, I know. So do you.
If you're in the neighborhood and you want to get in touch you know how. Otherwise, catch you in the fall when I move indoors.

I remember hearing (or reading) about this when I was a kid. The author, well, he looks fun. Real fun. And it's an interesting story, although a bit of a disappointment that -- well, watch the video and see.
