And - despite my laughing at all the ridiculous shit Facebook is throwing at me, there's the very real concern - AI is still in it's idiocy stage, garbage in, garbage out, but soon - maybe a year, maybe 2 or three, the results are going to start to be indistinguishable from reality. An AI hallucination of the worst sort. And all the possibilities of the internet - already hard enough to find good information - all these things are going to be destroyed.
There will be a very big market for a carefully curated internet that deals in facts and realities, whereas of late it's become a cesspool of clearly deranged AI hallucinations. And a market for an internet that delivers human generated results.
On the upside, (and you'll see this from all the "Follow Me" posts I get) - there's going to be a reckoning coming for every "Model", "Influencer", "Artist" and "Pornstar" that's going to require them to get clothes, a personality, a job and a life.
That won't be a bad thing...

This is a whole shit-ton of idiocy fed to me courtesy of Facebook the last couple of weeks.
I say idiocy because - well, while there is a lot to be admired there's a lot that's still not there.
It's not just limited to Facebook, I've noticed my "news feed" is starting to come up with AI generated articles that - from the headlines at least - make no sense whatsoever.
So I'll lead with those. Expect a humorous and scathing review of each beneath.
Beginning with Facebook's carefully censored ads:
Now, they got the audience right, who doesn't want a big pile of counterfeit cash?
And I can't see anything going wrong there.
Now, the "Read More" is there to protect you from a lot of CGI girls that Facebook thinks I want to follow, a few bogus "news" articles, and the "Cabin Crew" lot, which whenever I think I've seen it all finds ways to surprise me...

This has been stuck in my head for a couple of weeks....It started, a reddit thread about a song that's used in every movie about Vietnam. For good reason, it's of the era and it plainly states the politics of war. And the beat kicks to the rhythm of the chopper blades....
So I looked it up, gave it a relisten, it lead into some good playlists. Fine. And then the daughter sends me a video of her going upriver on a boat in Laos, and the song came back....
Damn, I don't usually like to listen to 'oldies', but there's no getting it out of my head now. No less because "Apocalypse Now" was a great anti-war movie....
