I'd heard the ad on the radio, Spence Diamonds selling "Diamonds as Unique a you are", a bunch of corny hype pumping up the rarest of diamonds, lab grown, "As old as your relationship", or some such tripe. I was aware of them a few years ago, when they were still being passed off as natural, now comes mainstream acceptance. There's a great deal of romance lost, IMHO, but for the consumer (and not the romantic) it's the perfect way to mark the occasion of your test-tube baby...
